pePartners appoints Cath Avila, Brett Holmes
SAINT LOUIS— pePartners (www.pePartners.net) announced the appointment of new members of its leadership team. Cathleen L. Avila was named partner, transaction advisory and Brett Holmes was named partner, chief marketing officer for pePartners.
Avila is a finance professional with more than 30 years of experience, including start-up, IPO, and M&A structuring and integration. She has strong credentials in corporate finance, financial analysis, and fundraising of small and medium businesses. She most recently managed her own consulting firm in London, Amsterdam, and Houston for more than 15 years, working with a client roster including ABN AMRO, Centrica (British Gas) and Investcorp. Avila holds degrees from Tulane University, Stanford University, and London Business School.
“Cath is well-regarded and well-connected, and is in an excellent position to further elevate pePartners’ point-of-differentiation in regard to our knowledge base,” Martin M. Myers, managing partner and founder of pePartners, said. “She has a broad perspective crossing over sectors, industries, and countries that will be of great benefit to both our member companies and network of capital partners.”
Holmes has strong experience in startup and turn-around business practices for B2C and B2B ventures as well as working relationships in strategic philanthropy and the “conscious capitalism” space. He was a founder and equity partner in an ecommerce startup and an equity partner in a beverage R&D/manufacturing turnaround, both in which he helped negotiate successful acquisitions. He is also a seasoned media expert. Holmes holds a degree from Baylor University, and studied post-graduate at the University of Southern California.
“Brett is a seasoned entrepreneur, business strategist, and marketing expert who has a unique perspective from the business owner/founder’s lens,” said Myers. “He’s an asset to our deal flow and will help amplify and strengthen our profile in the marketplace.”
Both Avila and Holmes will work from pePartners’ Austin offices.
